Thanks to the lovely Jess from JessClassy I discovered a new blog, The Nectar Collective. What a fun find!

And it just so happens that Melyssa from The Nectar Collective is starting a fun, creative initiative "designed to help the both of us learn, grow, and have a freakin’ blast doing it". Sounds pretty good to me!

In the image above you see how it works. Melyssa has a list of prompts with "due dates" listed on her blog post here. You make or do whatever the prompt tells you to make or do and then on that specific date you link up your blog post or photo of your project on her blog so that others can see what you made and you can check out what others have made. 

I personally think this is a fabulous idea and it's something new for me and my little blog space here. I'd like to think that I'm capable of being creative but I rarely act on it blaming my lack of DOing on laziness and not having time (which I do, I just would rather lounge around watching TV after work instead of actually doing something productive). AND, doing or making creative things is a bit out of my comfort zone so with this initiative I'd really like to challenge myself.

Obviously, I might not be able to finish each and every project on each and every due date but I'm going to try and most of all, have fun while doing so!

I'll of course share my projects on here as well, duh...

So keep your eyes peeled for the first project! The prompt date is actually tomorrow which is too early for me but I think I'll have it done by the weekend :)

Wish me luck! Hopefully some creative juices will start flowing in my brain in 2014!
