The other day, I ventured into The Body Shop on my lunch break on a mission to purchase three items... I ended up with seven - so surprising, I know...

The first product I was on the hunt for I had seen somewhere online, I can't for the life of me remember where. It's the Tea Tree Pore Minimiser, a new product from the Tea Tree Oil line. This primer promises to smooth, prime and mattify and leave the skin feeling fresh, acting as an ideal base for makeup.

I've had really bad breakouts on my chin area since the Christmas holidays and while on holiday in Belgrade I had purchased a primer by Benefit. I now remember that last year I had purchased a primer by Clinique and had breakouts a while after starting to use that one as well. So, when I read about this new primer which is especially suitable for blemished skin, I thought I'd give it a whirl. Fingers crossed that this will help! I've been using it for the past couple of days and so far, so good. It does leave a refreshing, shortly tingly feeling and nicely mattifies the skin.

While perusing the Tea Tree line, I of course got sucked into buying two more items: the Tea Tree Oil and the Tea Tree Face Mask

When you feel a blemish coming on, you can apply a bit of the Tea Tree Oil directly onto the blemish with a q-tip. This basically "dries" out the pimple and stops it from coming through the skin. I've used this a couple of times so far but can't say for sure yet if it really works well.

The Tea Tree Face Mask instantly cools, cleanses, soothes and refreshes the skin and absorbs excess oil. They recommend using it once a week and keeping it on for about 10 minutes. I've used this twice so far and really like it. It does nicely refresh, cool and soothe the skin, as promised. I'm hoping to see some long-term effects on my blemished chin area, so I'll keep on using this weekly.

The other two products I planned on buying are from the wonderful grapefruit-scented line. I had received the Pink Grapefruit Shower Gel/Cream for Christmas from my lovely parents and I literally fell in love with the scent. It's so good. It's sweet and tangy and smells exactly like pink grapefruit. Delicious.

I've owned the Coconut Body Mist before and went through the whole bottle, so I repurchased that. And since I fell in love with the grapefruit scent, I decided to also get the Pink Grapefruit Body Mist. These body mists smell absolutely divine and I certainly don't mind smelling like coconuts or grapefruits all day long :)

And, last but not least, I repurchased my all time favorite hand cream, the Almond Hand & Nail Cream. I cannot tell you how many tubes of this I've gone through. It smells so nice and the scent is in no way overbaring and it conditions your skin without leaving your hands feeling oily or sticky. Great for on the go or for work.  It's stupidly expensive at 20 Swiss Francs per tube but definitely worth it since it's so nice and the large 100ml tube lasts a long time.

Have you bought anything from The Body Shop lately? Is there anything you'd recommend?

Thanks for stopping by :)

  1. Oooh coconut body mist, yum! Coconut is definitely one of the best scents out there though I am partial to a bit of mango too :)
